Most local government agencies and juvenile centers required services and would support services only from formal organizations with federal recognition as exempt organizations and holding federal tax ID numbers.
Trainings are provided by professionals in the field of offered training and attendees are awarded Continuing Education Credits for the completion of the classes. All trainings meet or exceed required content as stated in Ohio provisions to qualify for Continuing Education Credits.
The Consortium actively recruits non-profit child care organizations to become members on a continuing basis to provide support with trainers and attendees.
The Consortium also engages in solicitation of non-members to attend offered trainings in an effort to provide low cost Continuing Education Units to social workers, educators, and other child care workers.
A web-site and physical data base is maintained of local CEU qualified trainings and trainers in the various areas of child care and can be accessed free of charge to members and non-members. Other sources of child care education are maintained and available to member organizations.
Trainings are general planned out 6 months to one year in advance with member organizations being informed of all available future trainings. The trainings provided help social workers and other child care workers and teachers to fulfill annual state CEU requirements.
