Trainer Biographies
Mike Robinson has worked in the Community Mental Health field for over 25 years, in three states. He has been a therapist, supervisor and manager of mental health services. He received his Master's Degree in Counseling from New York University and is licensed by the state of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor Endorsement (PCC-S). Mike has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and has provided trainings locally for Pro Kids, the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office Guardian Division, JFS, and Juvenile Court. He has a speaker/commentator on childrens' mental health issues for a number of venues including television, newspaper, and Proctor and Gamble. Mike is currently the Manager of Specialized Treatment Services at The Children's Home of Cincinnati. He sees children, adolescents and families in his private practice as well. Cathy Strunk, RN has been a nurse at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for nearly 30 years. She is currently the Director and Educator of the Surviving the Teens program at CCHMC where she speaks to thousands of teens a year about stressors, coping, depression and suicide prevention. She also speaks to parents, teachers, professionals, and other community members about depression and suicide. Dan Newman has 25 years of expereience in public health. He was a Senior Health Educator for the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department. Involved with HIV/AIDS work since 1982, Dan served as an AIDS Prevention Specialist for AIDS Volunteers of Cincinnati. An ordained minister in the state of Ohio, Reverend Newman is a volunteer for the Women's Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky.
Certified as a "Trainer of Trainers" by the Ohio Department of Health in HIV, Substance Abuse, and Public Sex Environments, Dan is a faculty member with the Cincinnati STD/HIV Midwest Prevention Training Center. He has a certification in Prevention Communication for Diverse Populations from the National Institute of Drug Abuse. He has served as an Advisory Board Member for the CSAT Grant Program at Thunder Child Inner Tribal Treatment Center in Sheridan, WY.
Dan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Holistic Ministries and a Doctor of Divinity (DD) from the American Institute of Holistic Theology, and is Certified in Thanatology (CT) in Death, Dying, and Bereavement from ADEC - the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
Kelly A. Pitocco, LISW, CDC III-E has provided countless hours of direct practice with individuals, groups and families. She has taught social work practice and provided social work field instruction.
Currently, Kelly is the master level Clinical Service Provider for the Talbert House Institute for Training and Development. In this role, she coordinates clinical trainings offered at Talbert House as well as throughout the community. Additionally, Kelly develops and presents trainings on a broad spectrum of clinical topics. She has trained frequently in the area of clinical supervision and facilitates a supervision group for professionals pursuing their LISW.
Kim Brown, MSW, LISW-S has been working in child welfare for 15 years. She has worked 
at Focus on Youth, Inc, a treatment foster care agency, in West Chester, Ohio for 13 years where she is Clinical Director. She has presented on play therapy, foster care issues, and parenting techniques nationally and locally. She is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and an advanced trainer in the parenting approach, the Nurtured Heart Approach. Kim has developed a graduate student play therapy training program and has been training graduate students for nearly 10 years. In 1998, she received an award from the Ohio Department of Human Services for “Social Worker of the Year”. She is a founding board member of the Ohio Association of Play Therapy and served for five years as the Conference Director for Continuing Education.

Bonnie Bazill-Davis 
Bonnie Bazill-Davis, President of Speak Out Services, LLC,
is a former CCDC (chemical dependency counselor) who found her true passion in
the field of training. Since 1995, she
has offered specialized training in child abuse awareness blending her
experience as an incest survivor with current research for unique presentations
touching both the mind and heart. She is
known as “The Heeler” for sharing her story of hope for recovery with help from
her shoes! Bonnie is a contract trainer
for the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program traveling the state conducting
workshops for foster parents and case managers. Her workshops have been featured at regional, state, and national
conferences. Bonnie is a member of
Toastmasters International having placed in national competition for
inspirational speaking. When not busy
being a professional talker, she enjoys being the mother of a teen and tween,
and wife to her wonderful husband Steve of 27 years.
